Texturing

The 3D model is completed and ready to paint now. For this portion of the process we will use a different program called Substance Painter. We import the model from Maya and then we paint every individual part separately following the same color scheme.

Once all the parts are textured we import the files created in Substance Painter back in to Maya and place them in the 3D model. These files are called maps and there are many of them. Each will help simulate realistic reflections, shadow, and colors.
